Factors in the Industrial Revolution
During the early 1800s, the American industrial revolution began to sprout and continued on during the American Civil War. After the Civil War, the American industry had changed dramatically. Hand labor was replaced with machines in order to meet the general public's demands, while the extended railroads shipped goods across the nation. The businesses flourished because bankers and investors supplied the money the business men needed to expand their companies.
