6.2.1 - Growth of U.S Global Power
The topic of this section is Imperialism. Imperialism is a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force. As America grew as a greater power with its increase in industry, businesses needed to look else where to increase in size. Big businesses looked overseas for new business. America also worked to increase its number of ships, not for war, but to protect America's various interests overseas.
