Causes of WW1.
1. Nationalism: Nationalism is ones pride in their country. If someone does something terrible to another country whose people have a strong sense of nationalism, you can imagine how that could provoke war.
2. Imperialism: Imperialism is the act of expanding your territory into others territory for power and trade. When the countries that took place in WWI were having differences over others expanding their power into others land, it brewed anger between the countries.
3. Militarism: Militarism is the belief that a country should have a strong military. When countries tried to strengthen their military it made other countries uneasy.
4. Alliances: Alliances are 2 or more powers joined together to go against an enemy too powerful for them to face on their own. The alliances in WWI were The Triple Alliance- Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy, and The Triple Entente- Russia, U.K. and France. America later joined the fray fighting alongside the Triple Entente.
